General surgery is often known as the core discipline. From cancer to obesity and many difficult and painful conditions in between, the general surgeon must treat a devastating litany of diseases that threaten people’s lives and health.

- Colorectal Surgery:
Colorectal surgery repairs damage to the colon, rectum, and anus through a variety of procedures. It may also involve surgery to the pelvic floor to repair hernias. - Endocrine Surgery:
Specializing in surgical removal of endocrine glands – most commonly the thyroid, the parathyroid glands and adrenal glands. - Trauma and Critical Care Surgery:
The trauma surgeon addresses most injuries to the neck, chest, abdomen, and extremities (other than fractures)
All of our surgeons work together using a collaborative approach to care. Patients requiring specialized care are referred among division members to the surgeon with the appropriate expertise.
